Summer Fresh

In my refrigerator right now, I have 5 zucchinis, 1 yellow squash, 17 ears of corn, a head and a bit of broccoli, 1 cabbage, 1 cucumber, a bag of green beens, a head of lettuce and the 17 pounds of blueberries that I picked this morning. Almost all of it came from the farmer's market. I love it.

Mark and I are going blackberry picking tomorrow at a local farm. I'm excited, but I'm kind of hoping we don't end up with 17 lbs--that's a lot!! :) We usually go to the local farmers' market here for all of our fruits and veggies as well. The prices and the quality are so much better!

Sounds like fun. Part of picking so much is so that I could freeze a lot of it to eat the rest of the year - muffins, cereal, pancake, straight frozen. I'm sure you have fabulous stuff at the farmer's market, being so much farther south!
